Building a Better Yuma!
How Can I Help?

  • VOTE! You may think this might be obvious, but we cannot stress that enough. You might not think your vote "counts" but in a city-wide election issue every vote is essential. There are countless examples of city measures or candidates that have been passed or failed on account of one vote.

  • Encourage other Yuma residents to vote and/or register to vote! Especially our younger generation. They might not be into "politics" in general but this is something that will have a direct impact on them and their quality of life. Make sure 5 people you know vote in favor of Prop 400 even if you need to drive them to the voting booth!

  • Write letters to us and we'll post them on our supporters page. Or download the "name usage" release form and fax it to us and we'll simply add your name to the growing list of people who feel this is the RIGHT thing for our community.

  • Donate money. Even $10 helps in our effort to spread the word ! Download the contribution form for more information.

  • Donate time. Between now and the election on November 4th, we will need help in getting the word out by passing out brochures, making phone calls, registering voters, attending events, etc. Get on the list and we'll contact you with more information. Again, download the contribution form or send an email to yumaeventcenter@gmail.com

  • Write letters and make phone calls to the media. The newpaper, local talk radio shows or call our local TV stations. Every person has a voice in this community. Use your voice.

  • Spread the word. Educate yourself on the details and then initiate conversations with friends and colleagues about the events center proposition.
